The Advance Warfare Training Centre also known as the Special Operations Training Centre is the 3rd and final stage of the SOCOMD selection process. This is where candidates will be taught on how to do certain things and then being evaluated at the end of each phase. Candidates must do each and every phase in order, to identify if you have passed a phase and you are ready for the next, ensure you check the SOCOMD database in which you are able to see how many checkmarks you have aquired.
Candidates will be first introduced during the introduction phase of the Advance Warfare Training Centre. Candidates will learn all of all the basic stuff here, candidates will also be notified on how the Advance Warfare Training works, its structure, the phases, and general information.
The first phase of the Advance Warfare Training Centre is Advance Breaching & Special Tactics, here candidates will learn how to breach in more advance and strategic ways. Following along with breaching, candidates will learn special tactics in which they are able to use in all sorts of operations.
During the 2nd Phase, candidates will have to go through the Pathfinder & Military Freefall. Here, candidates will learn how to become expertise in airborne and air assault operations. Pathfinders are trained to provide navigational and tactical support to airborne and air assault operations. Along with pathfinder training, candidates will also go through is the Military Freefall training, the Military Freefall training will includes classroom instruction, and skydiving operations in complete darkness. Candidates are typically required to complete a certain number of jumps in order to pass.
During the 3rd Phase, candidates will have to go through advance and special sea operations training. Here candidates will go through a series of dive, boat, sea raids and ship raiding training. During our boat training, candidates will be trained to provide navigational and tactical support on the sea, diving related operations, Amphibious warfare & riverine warfare, Maritime Search & Rescue and Counter-Terrorism & Piracy.
During the 4th Phase, candidates will be learnt how to provide littoral surveillance and reconnaissance in a variety of different terrains and weathers. During special reconnaissance, candidates will be required to conduct reconnaissance in small groups within different terrains while avoiding direct combat & detection from enemies while beind enemy lines.
During 5th Phase, candidates will learn how to use Land navigation & communication along with advance warfare, special tactics, medical evacuations, providing medical support, Land Search & Rescue. During this phase, candidates will be required to carry out a simulation of a warfare scenario, candidates will need to carry out medical evacuations & support along with Search & Rescue and Land navigation & communication.
This is not classified as a phase but the point of this is to teach candidates on the regulations, duties and responsibilities that each candidate will need to follow for the rest of their career in SOCOMD. Candidates will be required to take notes of everything mentioned and said.
This is classified as either 6th phase or FE (Final Examination), this is the last stage of the Advance Warfare Training centre. Candidates will be required to fill in their examination, after this, they must wait until and instructor checks and grades their examination. This examination is taken in two ways, first is to test them on the things they learnt within the phases, second, they will be required to answer questions. After this, their instructor will grade both of the final examination sections and notify the candidate if they have passed or not.
