Competitions

We support or offer administration of the following mathematics competitions

AMC

We offer all AMC exams, including AMC-8, AMC-10/12 A & B, AIME, and USAMO. These all occur during school hours, using the official AMC dates, as well as official AMC time windows, when those apply. In addition, we organize occasional weekend prep sessions for AIME and USAMO.

mathleague.org

We have hosted all levels of mathleague.org contests, including elementary, middle school, and high school. These all occur on Saturdays. No mixed teams are allowed, so students must all compete as part of school-based teams.

ARML Local

Every spring we host ARML Local on either a Saturday or a Sunday. This is patterned on the event that Texas travels to every year. There will be a short answer individual round. After that, the individual results will be used to organize students from different schools into six person Gold, Silver, or Bronze teams to work on team and relay events.

PURPLE COMET

Every spring we administer both middle and high school levels of the Purple Comet contest. This is a free, on-line, international, team mathematics competition designed for middle and high school students, conducted annually since 2003. So far we have only done this during school hours, which means that only members of AAH Math Team were able to participate. But mixed teams of students from different schools are allowed. We may move at least the high school level of the contest to a weekend in the future if there is sufficient interest from students outside AAH Math Team.
