AYO Parent Association — Launching January 2026

The Austin Youth Orchestra thrives because of the extraordinary support of our parent community. Parents are the heartbeat of AYO — helping rehearsals run smoothly, assisting with concerts, supporting special events, and creating a welcoming environment where students can learn, grow, and shine.

This January, AYO will officially launch a new Parent Association to bring our families together, strengthen communication, and expand the volunteer support that keeps our program strong. The Parent Association will help with:

• Rehearsal and concert support

• Event planning and hospitality

• Fundraising and community partnerships

• Volunteer coordination

• Building a vibrant, connected AYO community

Whether you can help occasionally or want to be involved throughout the season, there is a meaningful place for you here. Every hour makes a difference, and every parent brings unique skills and strengths.

We will also be identifying a parent chair or co-chairs (or small leadership team) to help guide the Parent Association alongside AYO’s administrative staff. If you are interested in a leadership role, we would love to connect with you.
