Parties
To join a party, simply comment the name of your desired party on the Join a Party/Welcome Thread and the leader of that party will either accept or decline you.
An up to date list of parties, their leaders, their ideologies and other relevant information can be found on the wiki. Anyone can contribute to the wiki so feel free to help keep it up to date.

There are numerous other routes than joining a current party.
Go independent! You can become an independent, which means that you won't be a member of any party.
Make a party! To start a party you need 3 members, a brief manifesto and a party constitution.
You can always change your mind at a later date if you're unsure.
