Radius Church LA

This position taught me a lot about working in a community. Although I mainly volunteered to monitor the toddler room, I would engage with all the other volunteers to discuss lesson plans and any upcoming events. Within the toddler room, I would lead activities meant to promote their development and keep the toddlers engaged with one another. Since I was there every week, I became the unofficial leader of the room, mentoring 4+ peers in adjusting to our schedule and learning the run-through of the morning. This experience gave me skills in leadership, mentorship, organization, and patience. 

Other than working with the toddlers, I assisted my supervisors with the planning, organizing, and executing of multiple events intended for community engagement. I provided perspectives that would appeal to younger audiences and helped design aspects of the decor or entertainment.
