Technical Theatre

I have been doing Theatre since I was 12 years old now and I’ve gained an immense amount of knowledge.

I’ve learned Basic Carpentry, Painting, Patterning and Stitching and how to use elements of design to create my future shows. I'd like to go more in depth on my skills in costume construction because out of the 4 I believe this one sets me apart from other teachers the most. 

I took costume construction last fall and I learned how to take measurements, create patterns, do alterations as well as put together a crinoline skirt that I wore on stage during Little Women. 

All of the skills I’ve learned will help me guide my students if they decide to pursue theatre outside of high school because there is so much opportunity and these skills will help me tailor my future lessons to their interest.
