Elementary Library Borrowing Policies
Elementary Library General Loaning Policies - Onsite
I. Elementary Pupils
1. Pupils are allowed to borrow one (2) books per day, renewable once only. Items borrowed on Monday are due on Wednesday. Items borrowed on Tuesday or Wednesday are due on the following Monday. Failure means fine.
2. Every pupils of grade school are required to apply library access card to enjoy library privileges.
3. Pupils who borrowed any type of print and non-print materials are required to deposit their Library Card or School I.D. with counter signed.
4. Instructional Media Materials and Reference Books are for ROOM-USE-ONLY.
5. Photocopying of books or periodicals is limited to twenty (20) minutes provided with a xerox pass number.
II. Elementary Faculty and StaffÂ
1. May borrow maximum of five (5) books and renewable. Good for fourteen (14) days or two weeks.
2. Instructional Media Materials and Reference Books are for ROOM-USE-ONLY.
3. Photocopying of books or periodicals is limited to twenty (20) minutes provided with a Xerox pass number.
II. Non-Elem. Faculty Members, College Students, and AU EmployeesÂ
1. May borrow maximum of three (3) books and renewable. Good for seven (7) days.
2. Instructional Media Materials and Reference Books are for ROOM-USE-ONLY.
3. Photocopying of books or periodicals is limited to twenty (20) minutes provided with a Xerox pass number.
III. Alumni / other Researchers
(can have access to library materials but for ROOM-USE-ONLY)
Requirements:
1. ALUMNI – Alumni I.D.
2. VISITING USERS – Referral Letter from their Chief Librarian and a fee of thirty pesos (P30.00) for succeeding visits, payable at the Bursar’s Office.
3. Photocopying of books or periodicals is limited with the directive of the librarian.
IV. Fines & Penalties
1. Pupils with overdue book will be charged one peso(P1.00) /book/day, including Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays payable at the Bursar’s Office.
2. Students Teachers or college students with overdue book will be charged ten pesos(P10.00) /book/day, including Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays payable at the Bursar’s Office.
3. Faculty members and Employees with overdue book will be charged twenty pesos(P10.00) /book/day, including Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays payable at the Bursar’s Office.
V. Instructional Media Materials
1. Pupils, Faculty and Student Teachers must fill up the Instructional Media Resources Reservation Form if they want to use the AV Room of the University Library and Elementary Library Multimedia Section. Availability for the use of both facilities is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
2. Borrowing of non-print materials like globes, maps, CDs, charts, speakers, DVD Player, Cassettes, TV and models for classroom use is recorded on the logbook and I.D. of the teacher/student teacher is required.
VI. Multimedia & Internet Access Guidelines
1. To use a computer for Internet access all users must present a valid library card to the librarian on duty and sign-up in log book.
2. First come, first-served basis, in 10 minutes’ slots with a maximum of half-hour per day unless no one is scheduled.
3. The library’s computers are to be used for educational, informational, and recreational purposes only; not for unauthorized, illegal, or unethical purposes. Library personnel has the authority to request a patron to exit from an Internet site if it is deemed in violation of this policy.
4. For E-Journals or online periodical resources ask the librarian for assistance.
5. To access WIFI you may ask librarian for password. WIFI is use for academic research only.
6. Everyone is expected to follow the internet guidelines otherwise he/she will lose his/her internet access privileges.
VII. Defaced, Mutilated and Lost Books
1. Borrowers who return damaged books will be charged one hundred pesos(P100.00) upon the returned of book payable at the Bursar’s Office.
2. If the pages are severely torn, a replacement of the same or its latest edition is required within a week plus one hundred pesos(P100.00) processing fee payable upon the return of the book. Borrowers who do not replace the book will not be issued clearance.
3. A lost book while out on loan must be replaced with the same title within a week plus one hundred pesos(P100.00) processing fee payable at the Bursar’s Office.
