Engineer, Roboticist, and Human-Computer Interaction Specialist

Who am I?

I am passionate about human-computer interaction, control theory, mechanical design, user experience design, and robotics. I enjoy combining my technical skills with quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate and design novel technology solutions. I also am passionate about creating supportive and engaging entry points into the fields of Mechanical Engineering and Human-Robot Interaction.

I completed my doctoral program at Tufts University studying Mechanical Engineering and Human-Robot Interaction in May 2024, then completed a postdoctoral research contract researching Human-Robot Interaction at the University of Melbourne. Before that, I was an undergraduate student at the University of New Hampshire, and graduated with University Honors in Mechanical Engineering in 2019.

As I continue on my career journey, I hope to continue to utilize my interdisciplinary skill set and support the next generation of engineers, roboticists, and designers.

What have I been up to?

Robot Proxy Research

At the University of Melbourne, I worked on projects regarding the use of robot proxies in various contexts as part of Human-Computer Interaction research group.

Panel Host: Design of Technology for People with Disabilities

I organized and hosted a panel as part of the Melbourne Connect Connected seminar series highlighting the variety of skillsets involved in the design of technology for people with disabilities.

Future of Longevity Speaker

Dr. Jenny Waycott and I led an activation activity on Robot Companions for the Aged at a Melbourne Connect event connecting research, industry, and innovation.
