Thank you so much for your question, I am what they say, Ingredient crazy! I take joy in knowing that my soap is Lye-Free because lye has been found in recent yeaars for causing different type of cancer. So the question is, what do I use instead of lye? Well, I use glycerin because there so many benifits, for example; Glycerin attracts and retains moisture. This helps to keep the skin hydrated and prevents dryness, making glycerin soaps suitable for people with dry and sensitive skin, also glycerin is non-comedogenic, meaning it does not clog pores.

Thanks for the question. We chose to go all organic because even though you don't eat the soap does not mean the chemicals don't get into your skin. The skin has little pours connecting to the hair follicle, adding unnecessary chemicals, the skin may not react well, causing hives and breakouts with a high chance of puffy skin, redness, and/ or inflammation. This is why at Aubrey's Homestead we chose to use organic and homeopathic ingredients. We still recommend not to consume any soap.
