(1) Technology of CDRI-399 Transferred to M/s Ortho Regenics Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad on 76th CSIR Foundation Day (https://youtu.be/WTOooUSe9LY

One of the synthetic compounds CDRI-399 "BONJON" (medicated biodegradable implant material for fracture healing) has been LICENSED and Technology Transferred to M/s Ortho Regenics Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad for Biodegradable Implants for the treatment of bone fractures. The other compound CDRI-1500 is in Phase-I clinical trial as orally active bone fracture healing agent. CDRI-1500 (Pteroheal) showed significant stimulation of callus formation and exhibited increased fracture healing at only 1.0 mg/kg/day dose in adult ovariectomized (OVX) rats. New bone formation at the fracture site is increased by ~40% in rats treated with CDRI-1500 compared to vehicle treated rats. (Singh-Goel et al. Mol. Cell. Endocrinol. 2017, 448, 41; Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology 2010, 325, 101-109.

(2) Technology of CDRI-1500 (NCE, Under Phase-I Clinical Trial) Licensed (Jan 25, 2022) and Transferred to M/s TROIKAA Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Prof. Atul Goel and his team discovered First-in-class orally active novel drug candidate CDRI-S007-1500, which is in Phase I clinical trial for treatment of bone fracture (DCG(I) approval dated Jan 8, 2021). The clinical trial process has been initiated at KGMU, Lucknow. International Patents: Goel et al. US Grant No 8686028 Dt 01-04-2014.

(3) Technology Transfer of “Fluorescent Dyes and Quenchers for the development of RT-PCR based detection of COVID-19” to M/s Biotech Desk Pvt. Ltd. (BDPL), Hyderabad on Feb 17, 2021 (https://cdri.res.in/newDrugs_cdri.aspx)

Under the Indian Government initiatives for ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, Dr Atul Goel and his team have developed indigenous technology of fluorescent dyes and quenchers for Taqman like probe based RT-PCR detection of COVID-19. These fluorescent dyes and quenchers are imported and very costly. His Indian technology of fluorescent dyes and quenchers will significantly reduce the dependency on the supply of reagents and kits from foreign manufacturers. Based on the CDRI Dual-Labelled Probe and Primers, a diagnostic kit INDICoV was manufactured by Licensing Partner Biotech Desk Private Limited for commercialization.

(4) Technology of Nucleic Acid Staining Dye GreenRTM was licensed and transferred to M/s GenetoProtein Private Ltd., Lucknow and GreenR was launched in the market on Feb 16, 2023 (https://cdri.res.in/newDrugs_cdri.aspx)

Prof. Atul Goel and his team discovered a new nucleic acid staining dye GreenRTM which can be used to staining DNA and RNA for research and diagnostics. It binds to nucleic acids like genomic DNA, PCR products, plasmids and RNA. Patent Appl. Filed, 2022.

Technology of CDRI-1500 Transferred to M/s TROIKAA Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd on Feb 17, 2022 on 71st CDRI Annual Day celebrations

Technology Transfer of “Fluorescent Dyes and Quenchers for the development of RT-PCR detection kit "INDICoV” to M/s Biotech Desk Pvt. Ltd. (BDPL), Hyderabad
