Defiance: Doc Holliday’s Last Stand

Atomic Theatre is excited to announce auditions for Defiance: Doc Holliday’s Last Stand, a musical written by Ken Crow. We are seeking eight actors (four male, three female, one non-binary) for singing and non-singing roles. All levels of experience are welcome. Actors will receive a $100 stipend.
Synopsis: Doc Holliday is in his final days. He reminisces and reflects on his life and the decisions made in his life. He is visited by a figure who helps him come to terms with his life.
Character Descriptions
Wyatt Earp - A long-time friend of Doc Holliday. A lawman, saloon owner, and gambler.
Doc Holliday - Trained Dentist from the south. Became a gambler and gun slinger after learning he contracted tuberculosis. This shaped his behavior and reputation.
Kate Horony - AKA Big Nose Kate, rumored to have been married to Doc Holliday. Dancing girl, prostitute, and madam.
Mary Katherine - AKA M.K., a saloon songbird with a velvet voice and a reputation for knowing everyone's business.
Mattie - One of Doc's lady friends and an employee of the Glenwood Springs Hotel/Sanitarium.
Angel - A being who comes to collect souls when it is their time to cross over. Neither malevolent nor benevolent.
Billy Clanton - An outlaw cowboy. One of the gunmen killed in the gunfight at the O.K. Corral.
Tom McLaury - A rancher and cowboy, one of the gunmen killed in the gunfight at the O.K. Corral.
To Audition:
In-person auditions will be held on Saturday, January 24th, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. To reserve an audition slot, or if you have questions, please contact Emily Liddy (303-520-7006, emilyliddy20@gmail.com). To audition, please provide/prepare the following:
1. A headshot and resume listing theater-related experience
2. A one-minute monologue
3. 16 bars of a song, to sing a cappella
If you are unable to attend the in-person auditions, please submit the above information, including a video recording of your monologue and singing, to Emily Liddy by Tuesday, January 27th.
Callbacks will be Saturday, February 7th,, from 2:00 to 4:00
