Frequently asked Questions
Students from Classes 4 to 12 in ATL Sarthi Cluster Schools, Bengaluru, are eligible to participate in this bootcamp. In addition, any interested and committed students and teachers from other ATL and non‑ATL schools in Bengaluru are welcome to register and actively take part.
There are no formal prerequisites. However, participants are expected to bring a few essential qualities to make the most of this opportunity: curiosity, commitment, perseverance, determination, and a can‑do spirit. Equally important is the ability to learn independently through online resources and the willingness to actively seek guidance from mentors. These attributes will enable participants to fully engage and derive maximum benefit from the program.
To build and install your project, you may require different prototyping materials depending on its nature. For technology‑oriented projects, access to computers, smartphones, software tools, and electronic components may be necessary. For non‑tech projects, simple and low‑cost materials will usually suffice.
If your school has an ATL that is open during the bootcamp, you can make use of the available resources there. Otherwise, you may source the required materials independently and continue working on your project from home.
Even if your school or ATL is closed, you can still participate actively in this bootcamp from home or any other location. However, you will need to arrange the required resource materials on your own to build and develop your solution.
The organizing team is part of the Bootcamp WhatsApp group. If you need any help or assistance during the bootcamp, please identify the group Admin and post your query in the group. Kindly avoid making a call or sending direct personal messages to the Admin, as such messages may not receive a response.
The list of mentors who are available to support and guide student participants (along with their mentoring areas) is provided on the Bootcamp portal under the “Mentors List” menu. Please review the list, identify one or more mentors whose assistance you require, and contact them by email. Once you establish contact, you may continue your interaction with your mentor through email, phone, or WhatsApp. If your mentor belongs to your own school, you may also be able to meet them in person at your school.
Mentors and students are part of the same Bootcamp WhatsApp group. Mentors may introduce themselves in the group and offer their support and guidance to students. Any student who is interested can respond and engage with the mentors to receive assistance.
It is suggested that students intearct with any external mentors under the supervision of their parents or teachers. Limit your interactions to online mentoring support, unless you can meet the mentor within your school premises. Avoid meeting mentors outside your home or school environment unless you already know them from prior interactions. Please note that the bootcamp organizers are not responsible for any untoward incidents arising from mentor–mentee interactions.
