SOP: Range Hood - Lights Not Turning On
Macro: Range Hood: Lights stopped working
Range Hood: Repair Kit (New Supplier)
Objective: Assist customers with troubleshooting range hood lights that are not functioning.
Procedure:
Confirm Initial Details:
Ask if the motor is still functioning.
Confirm whether the lights all stopped working or just one, and if the customer recently changed the bulbs.
Provide Troubleshooting Steps (Macro: Range Hood: Lights Stopped Working):
For All Lights Not Working (Motor Still Functions):
Inform the customer that the issue may be due to a transformer or circuit board failure.
Note that we no longer carry the specific transformer, but direct the customer to purchase a compatible one:
Example: Amazon Transformer.
Advise them to splice out the old transformer and install the new one.
For One Light Not Working or Recent Bulb Change:
Confirm that the replacement bulb matches the required specifications.
Caution that halogen bulbs cannot be replaced with LED bulbs.
Provide the customer with a video guide for bulb checks: YouTube Video.
Escalation if Issues Persist:
If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, request:
A video demonstrating the problem.
A photo of the range hood’s serial number.
Final Resolution:
If the lights still do not work, proceed with the final solution:
Send a repair kit (use Macro: Range Hood: Repair Kit (New Supplier)).
