Accessing RDC Data

Available Software

The ARDC currently has 10 workstations available for researchers to use at the centre, with a variety of statistical software based on the current needs approved projects. All workstations have dual monitors and have core statistical software including SAS, STATA, SLIDRET, STAT/Transfer, AMOS, HLM, and IXP. Some workstations have additional specialized statistical software such as LISREL and MPlus. During busy periods the Analyst may find it necessary to assign workstations based on the researcher’s software requirements.

The software is serviced and tested by the ARDC Research and Computing Consultant. As new software version become available, the ARDC Research and Computing Consultant conducts a review to determine whether the new features of software are required by the researchers and/or compatible with the ARDC systems. Below is a list of current software packages that are available at the ARDC.

Workstation Reservation Policy

If you wish to access a particular workstation because of its available software, please contact the ARDC analyst in advance by email at ardc@dal.ca. It is important to take advantage of this service during busy periods or if you are travelling from outside HRM (particularly during the winter).
