Lanora is a Alveran religion centered on the Siliniol and based on the teachings of Sacraniti's and Aberna. Adherents of Lanora are called Anarims, who are estimated to number 1.6 billion worldwide, and make up 89% of Athyla's population. Lanora arose in southern Arond following the birth of the two brothers Sacraniti's and Aberna during the 1st century CE, and gradually spreaded throughout much of Alvero. Lanora has subsequently played a major role in not only Athylian culture, but mainland Alveran culture as a whole.
Lanora centers around the central deity named Anari, oftentimes referred to as 'the Almighty.' According to belief, Anari delivered the prophet's Sacraniti's and Aberna upon Aedirn to spread the Almighty's message and codes. Sacraniti's is often associated with the role of the teacher, and is recognized for his role in writing the Siliniol. Aberna is often associated with the role of the vanguard, spreading Lanora through action and leadership. Anarim's believe in the subsequent Eight Virtues of Lanora, as well as the Decrees of the Almighty. The Eight Virtues of Lanora are as follows, growth, wisdom, charity, justice, harmony, faith, prosperity, and the after. While Lanora aims to reinforce the belief and faith in Anari, it also aims towards self betterment, stating that those who demonstrate the Eight Virtues may achieve salvation and ascent to Elara, the heavenly domain in which Anari presides over. Otherwise, those who disregard the Eight Virtues are cast away to the depths of Dalabras, overseen by Renam, the agent of chaos and sin.
Lanora is split into two major denominations, with each one splitting into hundreds of smaller sects. These two being Andalanora and Siliniolism. Andalanora is by far the largest of the two denominations, and is the most common denomination to be practiced beyond Athyla. Siliniolism is the smaller of the two, largely practiced within the Norvik Empire. It is believed the schism between the two faiths occurred following the Southern Expedition, in which Lanoran scriptures and texts, namely the Siliniol, travelled south, where Lanora underwent religious synchronism with local religions, resulting in Siliniolism which denies that Sacraniti's and Aberna are the named prophets sent by Anari.
