As part of their ultimate exit strategy out of Iraq, the US military sends squads of prosthetic-equipped soldiers into the heaviest conflict zones.
The Human Brain Project publishes a first draft map of the brain, depicting populations of neurons involved in complex phenomena like reminiscence, future simulation, etc.
Germany boycotts the London Summer Olympic games and send its athletes to compete at the Paralympic Games instead. Picus Communications broadcasts the augmented competition and sweeps the ratings.
The kids that shutdown the AI with the supercomputer in Paris once again face off against a mad scientist that has revived the AI. The supercomputer is shut down, but the program that was supposed to erase the AI may not have done so, as the mad scientist disconnected his server from the supercomputer.
The scientist that had won the Nobel Prize for his robots writes a letter to the Russian scientist and challenges him for the title of genius. They fight with their robots, but it is discovered that the Russian scientist was blackmailed by the opposing robotic engineer.
The opposing scientist steals a robot that can travel through time and travels 37.426 years into the future but his plans fail and he is defeated once again.
The evil scientist then attempts to take over the world's oceans, but also fails.
With the help of friends and enemies, a robot stops a supercomputer that shut downs robots.
The robot engineer that won the Nobel Prize is captured by a robot, that turned out to be an impostor, posing as another robot. The impostor is defeated and the engineer is saved.
In Mega Man IV, Ballade, the Rockman Killer, leads a new army in an attack, but Mega Man once again foils Wily's plot and destroys the revived Robot Masters.
Three months later, near the end of 2012, a group of mystery robots from space, arrive to conquer Earth. They are defeated.
