Calendar of Events

Below is our calendar of events, which includes our monthly meetings. If you use Google Calendar, you can add our calendar to your own! Simply click the 'add to Google calendar' button in the bottom left corner of the calendar below.

The WCA meets regularly on the last Wednesday of the month, from 6:30-7:30 pm, in the Sanctuary of the Central Avenue Church. Click here for directions.

Please also be aware that meetings often run longer than an hour. You are welcome to stay as long as works with your schedule.

Past events

August 30-31 - West Side Neighborhood Yard Sale

The Westside Community Association hosted the 2025 Neighborhood Yard Sale for August 30 - 31.

We also had a truck from Zero Waste on hand after the sale on Sunday to take away any unsold items folks wanted to get rid of.

July 23 - White's Mill History Talk

Brian Koscho from Invisible Ground joined WCA members to share more about the incredible history of White's Mill and the Westside of Athens.

June 24 - Ice Cream Social

The Westside Community Association treated West Side residents to free cones at Larry's Dawg House.

April 12 - Westside Spring Spruce Up

The Westside Community Association helped with efforts to tidy up our neighborhoods back in April.
Afterward, WCA also hosted a casual evening meetup to celebrate the day's work at the West End Ciderhouse.

February 25 - Ward 1 City Council Candidate Meet & Greet

All 3 candidates for Ward 1's City Council seat joined WCA for a meet & greet at Arts West.
