Jha lab at Cal Poly Pomona emphasizes on cellular physiology of plants. We study the endomembrane system at distinct cell peripheral domains (such as at organelle - cell membrane contact sites, plasmodesmata, etc.) to understand how  developmental decision making in plants happen, particularly the ones regulating environmental stress response. 

Using model plant species Arabidopsis thaliana, the lab's long-term goal is to propel our understanding of plant resilience and develop strategies to mitigate pertinent global challenges involving climate change and agricultural sustainability.
