Jha Lab is extremely invested in fostering a safe, equitable and inclusive lab environment. We welcome and encourage students of all cultural, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds, as well as all sexual orientations and gender identities or expression to join our lab. We strive to create a diverse and inclusive environment through the following actions:

1. Education and Training: Learning about implicit biases and privileges that historically create barriers for underrepresented groups in STEM. Access to available resources to enable awareness and frequent discussions centered around creating an equitable and diverse environment.

2. Recruitment: Lab openings will be advertised and follow an application process to ensure all students at all stages of their career have access to available positions.

3. Reflection: Advocating for and creating a safe and open space to discuss strategies to improve lab culture and how to implement our ideas effectively.
