WORLD Tuberculosis (TB)  DAY CELEBRATION.

Tuberculosis infection remains a public health threat globally and Ghana is of no exception. On 24th March of every year, the day is set aside to commemorate TB worldwide as the day when the Mycobacterium Tuberculosis was isolated. On this day across the globe, Health workers take advantage to strengthen efforts in their respective jurisdiction in controlling TB infection. Some of these activities include Health Education on radio stations, Tv, Community Information Centers etc. 

In Asutifi North District in Ahafo Region of Ghana, the 2023 World TB Day Celebration was commemorated at Kenyasi Prisons Camp where about 108 inmates and staff were screened using digital X-ray machine.
