Hello!
My name is Jessica Morris and this is my second year at the American School of Ulaanbaatar. I am originally from Denver, Colorado in the United States. I earned my Bachelor's in Anthropology from the University of Colorado in Boulder and my Master's in Education from the University of Denver and before coming to Mongolia I taught in the USA.
When I am not at ASU I love hiking, exploring Mongolia, and learning more about Mongolian culture especially through trying new foods! The amazing community has made me feel very welcome throughout my time here and I am looking forward to this next year at ASU.
I am passionate about inquiry-based problem solving. I don't teach by standing and lecturing all day or by giving the class endless amounts of worksheets. We will be learning by looking to solve essential questions that lead us to better understanding new topics. Not only will this help our students learn better but it will be a lot of fun!
If you ever have any questions for me please don't hesitate to email or make an appointment to meet with me. You can reach me at ms.morris@asu.edu.mn or you can contact the main office at (976) 11 341501 if you need translation assistance.
Thank you and let's have a wonderful year!
Jessica Morris
