Following a house move in 2025 the reinstallation of the observatory commenced in May 2026 ready for the 2026/7 imaging season - below are some photos of the rebuild process.
May 2026 - Hole dug, power and data cables installed, shuttering made, 2.5 tonnes of concrete poured - going on holiday whilst it cures! All power and data cables laid and run back to the house.
August 2026 - the micro observatory has been put back together, repaired where required and a new roof made - one piece and lighter. All electronics reinstalled and roughly polar aligned ready for the scope to back on top of the mount. This is some distance from the house and it is set up for completely remote imaging - no need to go outside!
