Conference location

The conference will be held in Smögen, Sweden, approximately 150km north of Gothenburg at Smögens Hafvsbad (www.smogenshafvsbad.se).

The most convenient airport to travel to is Gothenburg Landvetter (GOT).

Travel by car

Smögen is most easily reached by car in 1.5 hours. A shared taxi from the airport will cost approximately 4000 SEK and will have to be arranged by the participants. All standard rental car agencies are present at the airport.

Public transport

There are train+bus connections from downtown Gothenburg that take between 2.5 to 3 hours. You can easily transfer from Landvetter to downtown Gothenburg using the airport bus (www.flygbussarna.se). The cost for a one-way trip with the airport bus is approximately 100 SEK.

Public transport connections from Gothenburg Central to Smögen can be found on Västtrafik's homepage (www.vasttrafik.se). Enter "Göteborg Central, Göteborg" and "Hotell Smögens Havsbad" as departure and arrival. It is a few minutes walk from the bus stop to the hotel. The total cost for a one-way trip is approximately 200 SEK.

Cash in Sweden

You will be able to get cash (Swedish kronor) at several ATMs in the airport. However, note that in Sweden virtually everything can be paid by credit card, and some places do not accept cash anymore.
