This is a short version of my curriculum. It has 3 distinctive activities/lessons and an additional activity or project (summative assessment). In actuality I would like to work in a community college setting, where students will be learning concepts, techniques and working towards completing a portfolio for transfer into a 4 year school. This pilot will be taken by my niece and nephew, therefore lessons will be more simple and more interactive

Intro to Drawing
Drawing Course
Introductory courses will focus on the elements of drawing, such as composition, line, proportion, perspective and light and shading techniques. Intermediate coursework might teach students how to add color, texture or a sense of movement to their drawings. Students may work with still life compositions or live models.
Lesson one: Learning Objective 1: Identify the elements of art. Line
Background: Line is a mark made using a drawing tool or brush. There are many types of lines: thick, thin, horizontal, vertical, zigzag, diagonal, curly, curved, spiral, etc. and are often very expressive. Lines are basic tools for artists—though some artists show their lines more than others. Some lines in paintings are invisible—you don't actually see the dark mark of the line. But they are there, shown in the way the artist arranges the objects in the painting.
1.To illustrate this concept I will create a video, where I show imagery of different types of line, then I will take a bank piece of paper and demonstrate different types of line, I will describe each of them. Then as the first assessment I will ask them to create a “line chart”. On a piece of paper they will make a circle in the middle, write the word “line” and make 6 sections where they will use their imagination, and critical thinking skills to create their own 6 types of line. They will keep this reference to use for their final project.
2. I will have a Edpuzzle video/quiz, with imagery to help them get a better understanding of shapes in different types of artwork.
Questions:
Can you label 6 different types of lines?
Can you explain the differences between these lines?
Can you create a composition with 6 different line types.
Lesson Two: Learning Objective 2: Identify the elements of art. Shape
In the visual arts, shape is a flat, enclosed area of an artwork created through lines, textures, colours or an area enclosed by other shapes such as triangles, circles, and squares. Likewise, a form can refer to a three-dimensional composition or object within a three-dimensional composition.
1.To illustrate this concept I will create a video, where I show imagery of different types of shapes, then I will take a bank piece of paper and demonstrate different types of shapes, I will describe each of them. Then as the first assessment I will ask them to create a “shape chart”. On a piece of paper they will make a circle in the middle, write the word “shape” and make 6 shapes of their choice. They will use their imagination, and critical thinking skills to create their own 6 types of line. They will keep this reference to use for their final project.
2. I will have a Edpuzzle video/quiz, with imagery to help them get a better understanding of shapes in different types of artwork.
Lesson Three: Learning Objective 3: Identify the elements of art. Color
Color is the element of art that involves light. It is produced when light waves strike an object and are reflected into our eyes. It consists of three properties: hue, intensity, and value. Hue — This is simply the name that is given to a color, such as red, yellow, blue, purple, green, orange, etc
1.To illustrate this concept I will create a video, I will show the color wheel, the basics of it, and how it is broken down. Then as the first assessment I will ask them to create a “color wheel”. On a piece of paper they will make a circle in the middle, write the word “colors” and make the 12 colors of the color wheel. They will keep this reference to use for their final project.
2. I will have a Edpuzzle video/quiz, with imagery to help them get a better understanding of shapes in different types of artwork.
