Value-based Confidence or: How Economists Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Metacognition
I am a professor of cognitive neuroscience at UCL on weekdays and a mediocre banjo player on weekends. I work at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience where I direct the Decision Making Group. Our lab works across different fields such as experimental and computational neuroscience, neuroeconomics, and AI. We strive to develop a more realistic account of economic behaviour and to understand what makes human decision-making special when compared with decisions made by artificial intelligence agents.
