ASSC Perceptual Metacognition Satellite

About this event

Perceptual metacognition is the study of the subjective evaluation and control of perceptual processes. The past decade has witnessed a rapid rise in interest in perceptual metacognition amongst philosophers, neuroscientists, psychologists and computer scientists. Perceptual metacognition also has close links with the study of perceptual awareness, and has been a mainstay of presentations and symposia at ASSC over the past few years. We think the time is right for a regular meeting dedicated to this field.

This one-day workshop the day before the ASSC Tutorials 2024 will showcase the latest research on perceptual confidence and metacognition, in the form of both keynotes and short oral presentations.

Registration to attend is free but places are limited, so please register early to attend. Priority will be given to registrations in the order they're received. Room capacity is ~100. If we go over capacity, additional registrants will be put on a waiting list. Status as confirmed registration versus waitlist will be emailed at least one month before the main ASSC conference (we will aim for more notice than this) to all people who submitted the form by then; if you know you aren't going to be able to make it even though you did register, please let us know by clicking the 'give my spot away' button below. We hope to stream the talks live for those unable to attend in person.

We will have short talks selected from submitted abstracts. Please do not submit the same work you're already submitting to ASSC! We want this meeting to be complementary to ASSC, not a sneak peek of the exact same content!

Submission deadline: March 28, 11:59pm last timezone on earth

EXTENDED DEADLINE: APRIL 11!

Use the button below to UN-REGISTER for the meeting. If you submit via this form, we will give your spot away to someone on the waitlist!
