Frequently asked questions
Does SunFacade work without an internet connection?
Yes. Measurement, analysis, and local project storage work offline. An internet connection may be required for store purchases and ads in the Free version.
Why is location permission required?
Location is used to calculate the theoretical position of the sun and correct orientation measurements to true north. Project location data is not sent to the developer’s servers.
Does SunFacade require camera permission?
No. SunFacade does not use the camera, augmented reality, or 3D models.
Do the results include shadows and weather?
No. The analysis represents theoretical direct sun exposure. Clouds, weather, nearby trees and buildings, and terrain obstructions are not included.
How can I create reports?
PDF and editable DOCX reports are available with Pro. Reports can be opened on the device and shared through the operating system’s share sheet.
How do I delete my projects?
Saved projects can be deleted from the project list in the app. Removing the app’s data also deletes locally stored project data.
