ASOVIDA operates without formal salaries; it relies entirely on volunteer work.
Funding is minimal, primarily coming from members' personal contributions.
Since January 2026, ASOVIDA's Director has faced a permanent disability following the amputation of a leg, a situation that has presented an additional challenge to operational continuity.
Grant funding will allow ASOVIDA to move from survival to sustainability.
We depend on donations and volunteer work to achieve our goal of making a positive impact on our community.

At ASOVIDA, we believe in the power of people to transform realities. That's why we open our doors to committed volunteers with a social vocation and a desire to make a positive impact on the community.
We work in partnership with various universities, allowing students and professionals to put their knowledge into practice while contributing to the holistic development of children, young people, and families.
We are especially looking for people with training or interest in areas such as social work, psychology, speech therapy, international relations, and administrative management, although anyone with motivation and social awareness is welcome.

Children living in poverty in Guatemala begin their lives facing disadvantages and undesirable futures.
Living in poverty can mean chronic malnutrition and unsanitary conditions, as well as a lack of mental health education. In many marginalized communities in Guatemala, children lack technological resources and basic books, which can negatively impact their education.
At ASOVIDA, we believe that every contribution means something, no matter how large; your contribution makes an impact.

Local Impact
At ASOVIDA, we have been able to provide essential services to date without financial support, although we continue to seek it. Our programs are sustained by a dedicated network of volunteers, strong local partnerships, and in-kind donations from national and international supporters.
This model has allowed us to maintain a significant impact on communities despite limited resources.
