About ASME MCET Student Section
The ASME MCET Student Section was established in 2021. The official inauguration was conducted by the chief guest, Mr. Prakhar Deep Agarwal, who was then the Senior Manager of Programs at ASME India. As part of the inaugural session, Ms. Tania Rodrigues, then an Engineer for Student & Early Career Programs at ASME India, led an awareness talk.
The ASME MCET Student Section is very active in organizing various activities such as seminars, workshops, and other events, fostering a dynamic and engaging environment for its members.

Department of Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering has been functioning since the inception of the college with an intake of 60 students. An additional batch of 60 students was started in the year 2010.
The department has state of the art facilities for various laboratories and department library. Guest lectures and industrial visits are periodically arranged for the students to supplement their curriculum. The Department strives for all round excellence in students, encouraging them in all extra curricular activities. Research activities at the department are progressing in the areas of feature based design, optimization/analysis of mechanical systems, alternate fuels for IC engines, air pollution modeling, thermal energy storage, and materials technology.
The department has a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty . The department regularly organizes technical workshops and promotes faculties and students to attend workshops and conferences to expose them to emerging areas.
