Marcus Lannie, currently working as ASME President-Purdue University ASME Chapter, conducted a seminar to tell students about the various career choices they can make in different fields and especially in mechanical engineering. The discussion was filled with fun experiences from his life and Marcus told the students about the skills in which we should invest our time in for success in a job.

Aarush Sood a Mechanical Engineering Alumni of CCET Chandigarh, who has completed his masters with specialization in Manufacturing, Meteorology And Data Analysis from the U.S. gave time from his busy schedule to guide the students in career paths in the future specifically in the field of research and how to achieve them using his brilliant knowledge and experience in the ongoing research in manufacturing and meteorology.

A three days workshop on CAD was conducted by the ASME student section in which students were taught the basics of CAD modelling using the software Solidworks. The following topics were discussed during the workshop.

1. Introduction to 2D sketching and 3D modelling

2. Softwares used in sketching and modelling

3. Getting familiar with Solidworks

4. Tools used in Solidworks

5. Making of parts

6. Assembly of parts

ASME recruitments one week long were done to ensure the club gets more talented people to help us make the club prosper. Interviews were conducted to screen the best students for the club based on their technical knowledge and skills. Also, the interview panel thoroughly judged the capability and potential of the students which is in the club's best interest.

FSAE workshop was conducted with full vigor & passion in collaboration with team CORSA giving students a glimpse about theoretical technicality & designs of formula one cars followed by tour of CORSA lab illustrating practical demonstration of mechanical assemblies of the cars.
