TOM'S HARDWARE
Many years ago, Tom's Hardware offered a unique opportunity for its readers; Enter for a chance to win 1 of 3 computer builds. One would be forgiven for believing the giveaway to be too good to be true, but as luck would have it, a Tom's Hardware build was randomly awarded to MCDAVER.
MCDAVER was fortunate to be selected during the computer giveaway, receiving the 2016 Q1 Budget Build. During a time when components were starting to see an increase in price, specifically graphics cards and other entry-level components, the computer was a blessing.
Since that time, the computer has exchanged owners numerous times, helping get by during challenging times, including acting as a personal computer for remote learning during COVID for youth.
Currently, the Tom's build functions as one of our few computers which youth can use to take part in ASLAN events. Who would have thought that a budget build would still be in use, introducing youth to the joys of technology, computers, and gaming.
Thank you Tom's Hardware and we hope that one day you consider bringing back the builds.

CASE HIGHLIGHTS
Left to Right:
Lian-Li PC-65B, Lian-Li PC-P50, Lian-Li Lancool III
Purchased in 2003, keep your eyes open for the infamous PC-65 in action at our various ASLAN events. It's seen several hardware swaps over the years, and too many LAN events to count, but it's aluminum chassis and thoughtful design have given plenty of reason for both hardware and case enthusiasts to frequently pause and ask, "Is that a Lian-Li PC-65?"
Key features of the infamous PC-65 include a premium brushed aluminum finish, tool less design, integrated fan controller, dust filter, removable motherboard tray, removable hard drive tray, power supply shroud, with rear swap option, side panel window, increased depth to accommodate for "long" graphic cards, four (4) 80mm fans, disk drive covers, and USB 2.0 ports.
For its time, the PC-65 was the envy of every computer builder. The case offered plenty of room for complex builds and provided "exceptional" airflow to keep all of your essential hardware cool. Needless to say, computer case trends come and go with the passing of time, but many of the features first found on Lian-Li's PC-65 have had a longstanding influence on numerous computer case trends.
