Terms of Use for AskMiles – AI Mileage Tracker

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using AskMiles (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Purpose & Financial Disclaimer

• AskMiles is designed to assist users in logging mileage, organizing trips, and estimating potential tax deductions or expense reimbursements.

• No Professional Advice: The App does not provide legal, accounting, tax, or financial advice. All calculation rates and AI chat outputs are for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all mileage logs prior to submitting official tax returns or reimbursement claims.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App lawfully and in compliance with local traffic and tax laws.

• Ensure trip classifications (Business, Medical, Charity, Personal) accurately reflect your actual usage.

• Periodically verify that background tracking and location permissions remain active on your device.

4. Purchases & One-Time Payment

• One-Time Lifetime Access: AskMiles Pro is offered as a single, one-time purchase. There are no recurring subscription fees, hidden costs, or automatic renewals.

• Billing: All payments are processed securely through the Google Play Store and are governed by Google Play’s Payment Terms of Service.

• Refunds: Refund requests and payment processing are managed according to standard Google Play Store refund policies.

5. Tracking Limitations & Accuracy

Trip detection depends on mobile device hardware, satellite GPS signal availability, and operating system battery management. Jaborandi AI Labs is not responsible for unrecorded or partially recorded trips caused by lost GPS signals, device shut-offs, or OS background app restrictions.

6. Intellectual Property

All software, code, designs, graphics, branding, and content within AskMiles are the exclusive property of Jaborandi AI Labs unless otherwise noted.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Mileage calculations are estimations based on official standard rate tables, which are subject to change by tax authorities.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jaborandi AI Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including lost tax deductions, audit penalties, or data loss) arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

9. Changes & Termination

We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue any part of the App at any time without prior notice.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the principal place of business of Jaborandi AI Labs, without regard to conflict of law principles.
