ABC is an extremely low-commitment extracurricular. We allow for flexibility between students and mentors. We do ask that each mentor take on at least two students. Each student would meet with you at least once a week for at least 30 minutes. Specific time and frequency of meetings are negotiable, some students meet with mentors twice a week due to complex topics and meetings can last up to 2 hours. All specific timings are discussed between an organization member, a mentor, and a student.
Compensation
Compensation
ABC mentors are entirely volunteer-based, there is no monetary compensation. Mentors can receive letters certifying service hours upon request. Additionally, all topics taught are meant to be topics you, as a mentor, are extremely passionate about and are in relation to your field. The ABC experience is also meant to be an opportunity for mentors to converse with curious youth about a topic both parties enjoy!
