Ask & Be Curious (ABC) is an organization committed to fostering curious youth. ABC connects curious youth with interests, particularly in niche subjects, with mentors around the world willing to teach. ABC hosts 2 cohorts, one in the winter (December-February) and one in the summer (June-August). Specific dates are subject to change.
ABC is open to students ages 14-21 on any academic level who show exceptional intellectual curiosity and a deep passion for learning. ABC prioritizes students who receive minimal opportunities, whether that is reflected in background, economic status, or a personal statement.
Weeks 1-3: Professor led meetings, introducing the basics of decided topic.
Weeks 4-6: Shifts towards more student-led meetings, student asks questions while professor still leads.
Weeks 8-9: Student sets subtopic, primarily student-led, student asks questions, and prompts discussions.
Week 10: Student prepares a presentation with what they learned with the assistance of the professor.
Week 11: Student presents what they learned to a designated group.
