Establishment
Taiwan Biochemical Technology and Drug Discovery (BT&D2) Team is established in NCKU and constituted with multidisciplinary professionals and students from departments of various fields in NCKU and other Taiwan institutes. Recently, in 2021 our Taiwan BT&D2 Team has initiated and coordinated an international organization called Asia-Pacific BT&D2 Alliance (APBA) composed of more than 20 R&D and education teams from institutes/universities of various countries. Now APBA has reached over 102 PI members across 11 Asia-Pacific countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Nepal, USA, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
In light of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership, Taiwan BT&D2 Team and APBA has been taking aggressive parts by integrating domestic and international resources, technology and network relationship to accomplish certain goals of SDGs, particularly on Goal 2 (Improved nutrition), Goal 3 (Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being at all ages), Goal 4 (Quality education), Goal 8 (Decent work and economic growth), Goal 12 (Responsible consumption and production) and Goal 17 (Strengthen global partnership).
