Ashton Burrell is the founder of the Hometown Hero Club and the Live Mentorship Program (LMP), which he launched in 2011 while a sophomore at Lincoln University. LMP has since transformed over 3,000 students' lives, ensuring a 100% high school graduation rate for participating seniors.
Beyond mentoring, Ashton's dedication extends to social justice, civic leadership, and community advocacy. He has organized national relief efforts, championed equity and inclusion, and supported hundreds of families and students across the country.
Today, Ashton serves as the Chairman of the Human Relations Council for the State of New Jersey, and is an active member of the NAACP and the Highland Park Human Relations Commission.
He has been featured in USA Today, WBLS, London Journal, and BET, and honored with numerous awards including:
