Context
The University of Central Florida is a higher education institution, dedicated to building a community that fosters a pursuit of lifelong learning. The College of Educations seeks to educate adults to become self-sufficient educators of society, and to encourage graduate level students to continue on, with doctoral level education. My mentor, Dr. Gunter, facilitates courses each week with graduate students with moderate levels of computer literacy. The classes, in which I will be a development intern, focus on using the ASSURE model to develop and design a course. There has been an identified need for AR/VR resources and assignments, adaptions to instructions for clarity, and updates to references throughout both courses.
For this internship, I will be working as a remote developer and designer with Dr. Glenda Gunter on courses - EME 6417 and EME 6458. I will design lesson elements for each of these classes and implement them. The content will be delivered in Canvas format using html materials, including supplemental content like worksheets and handouts. Due to the remote collaboration, I will have a weekly check-in meeting to discuss project timelines and goals.
