Custom songwriting.
Jack and Laura commissioned a song about their corgi, Theo. They told me about his favorite activities and snacks, and trips they've gone on together, and asked for it to be in the style of Vince Guaraldi. Jack said "Thank you so much for your brilliant, inspired homage to our boy. We were both moved to tears."

Arranging for pianists.
A teenage student requested this Sufjan Stevens song, John My Beloved. I maintained the moody minimalism of the original vocals and guitar, while bringing out some sparkle in my piano interpretation, at just the right technical level for my student. Here's an excerpt.
