The aim of the Accrington Stanley Academy Home Learning Programme is to inspire and encourage our players across all age-groups to commit additional time away from the academy to their technical and physical development.
Through a fun, engaging and rewarding programme, our players will work towards developing their technical and physical capabilities from home, competing amongst their age-group and phase peers, as well as themselves, to complete challenges and reach new levels of performance.
Performance and development will be monitored via an achievement pyramid. With players having to master a certain set amount of tasks before progressing to the next level, and next set of tasks, with each level getting increasingly more difficult to complete with each progression.
Players will have the opportunity to demonstrate mastery before weekly Saturday training sessions to their coaches.
The programme aims to develop healthy competition amongst the players to drive each individual in their personal development.
“The opportunity to learn is a gift, the ability to learn is a skill, the willingness to learn is a choice!”
3x15 minutes practice sessions at home = 1 tick in the box. You can practice for as long as you want but can only tick two boxes per week. Before you move onto the next stage of your career your coach must see your card and you will have to complete a challenge aligned to the home learning programme.
