One crucial factor for bringing change is policy. Policies determine the framework, the direction of long term changes and control the flow of resources for the same. This is why ASEM LLL Regional Centre for South Asia acknowledges the role of advocacy, evidence-informed research influencing policies and aims to play an active role in shaping the policies in the region.
Each annual conference of the Centre leads to a policy declaration based on the need analysis of the stakeholders and the state-of-art in relation to policies in the region. Apart from that, various partner institutions engage in the preparation of reports, briefs and other advocacy material in order to facilitate a constructive change in favour of developing sustainable Lifelong Learning Ecosystems in the region.
As a part of these efforts, two Declarations have been released by the Centre and the 8th of January has been declared as the ASEM Lifelong Learning Day on 8th January 2025.
In order to create awareness and develop a sense of ownership and solidarity among stakeholders in South Asia regarding Lifelong Learning initiatives, the 8th of January, 2025 was declared as the ASEM Lifelong Learning Day during the 2nd Annual Conference in Kochi from 06-08 January, 2025. More than 2200 stakeholders took part in the process.
ASEM LLL Hub Regional Centre for South Asia invites various stakeholders to join the celebration of the ASEM Lifelong Learning Day on the 8th January by organising various initiatives to promote Lifelong Learning and shape sustainable and resilient Lifelong Learning Ecosystems.
