About me

Welcome to the ASE group! and I am Tae Won Noh. I am a Korean experimental condensed matter physicist and worked as a Professor in the Physics Department at Seoul National University.

During my 35 years of research career at SNU, I have mainly focused on fabricating transition metal oxide heterostructures and investigating their physical properties. In particular, the investigation of optical properties, magneto-transport properties, and electronic structure in oxide heterostructures has led to the discovery of Magnon, Skyrmions, and Weyl fermions in solids.

I have advised more than 50 Ph.D. students, 30 masters, and 20 Postdocs who are actively conducting research globally in condensed matter physics. I have retired as an Emeritus Professor at SNU.
