About SHRM ASC

The SHRM General Body is a place for students interested in HR to gather and learn about current practices in the business and provides relevant professional development. The general bodies hosted include speed interviewing, salary negotiations, and HR guest speakers!  General Body meetings are open to all students who have an interest in HR or learning more about the field. We meet every other Friday from 10:30-11:30am.  If you are a current APP state student and are interested in learning more, please fill out the form below!

Consulting provides interested students the opportunity to volunteer to research, collaborate with, and recommend best HR practices to local community businesses. This group is for students who have a passion for HR and want to pursue a related career path in the future. In the past, students have assisted with building structured interview questions, constructing better onboarding practices, and improving training practices with client organizations. The groups meet every other Friday from 10:30-11:30 and by Team Lead discretion. Consulting participation is interview only. If interested, please access the form below! 

The Committees offer general members an opportunity to contribute to the Chapter plans, events, and culture. In addition, the committees provide members with professional development opportunities and prepare them to take on leadership positions in the future. The committees are free to join and any member can suggest the introduction of a new committee with a plan. The current committees of the SHRM chapter are the Social/Service Committee and the Recruitment Committee.
