The Controls and Autonomy Lab (CAL) in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Alabama conducts research in controls, autonomy, and aerial robotics. In particular, we develop control and decision-making algorithms for (autonomous) aerospace systems to ensure safe and efficient operation in dynamic and uncertain environments, and validate these methods on real-world platforms. We are also interested in developing aerial robotic systems to address challenging tasks in applications such as construction and agriculture.
