Cultural Identity: is the identity or feeling of belonging to a group. It is a part of a person's self-conception and self-perception and is related to nationality, ethnicity, religion, social class, generation, locality or any kind of social group that has its own distinct culture.

One of the duties Lafayette Preparatory Academy assigned were to stamp and organize books in storage. It was noticeable that there were categories labeled with different character representations such as "African American Characters" and "Native American Stories." This practice exposes children to different/similar cultures from their own, and familiarizes them with viewing minorities as protagonists.
KiPP: Inspire Academy showed not only identity in race but also in gender. They promoted women to achieve in education just as much as men. They also encouraged scholars to respect and help other identities differing from there own.
