We were active leaders when we:

1) Stepped up to help in community gardens

• Prepared lunch with limited supplies at Folanda's garden
  • had to be creative to make a meal
• Purchased cookies to thank Folanda for hosting us
• Purchased garbage backs, so we could continuing working and to replace Folanda's
• Invited to serve at Clarence's Garden after he saw us serve at in Folanda's

2) Prepared dinner for the Target house

• had less time than we expected to prepare the meal
• more families showed up to the dinner than we planned for
• had to design a craft for the kids to make during dinner

3) Friends For Life

• Adaptability: Unexpectedly preparing dinner for members
• Cultural Consciousness: Balancing service with learning about the people
• Team Dynamics: Delegating tasks and switching according to need
