Alpha Sigma Alpha was founded by 5 women in 1901 in Farmville, VA who were looking for a way to develop further as women. They were attracted to ASA for the opportunity to elevate the influence of women in the world. Friendships are crucial and there is no better way to create long-lasting relationships and connections than in Alpha Sigma Alpha.

Membership in Alpha Sigma Alpha extends far past just the collegiate experience; ASA is a lifetime membership. With hundreds of chapters and Alumnae chapters around the country there will always be a place for you to call home. We are also apart of the National Panhellenic Association (NPA) which encourages fostering connections with other sororities and women around the globe.Â
