Papers from Empathic Computing Laboratory in Korea (ECL in Korea) were accepted to ISMAR 2025 and VRST 2025, the top-tier conferences in AR/VR/MR area!

Two papers were accepted to ISMAR and one paper to VRST. These papers will be presented in each conference:

VRST 2025: 12 ~ 14 Nov 2025

In July 16-17, Empathic Computing Laboratory in Korea participated in a Joint Workshop with XRLab in Pusan National University, directed by Prof. Myungho Lee. It was a great event for sharing research idea and collaboration.

Prof. Mark Billinghurst, Director of Empathic Computing Lab in Australia, visited Chonnam National University and our lab to encourage our students. He also gave a lecture about Haptics and Empathic Computing.

Jaejoon Jeong and Sei Kang published two SCI-level papers of our laboratory in Electronics and Applied Sciences,  respectively.

Jaejoon Jeong presented his work titled "Willingness to Interact: Social Resources Facilitate Pulling Actions toward Social Avatars in Virtual Reality" as a Poster work at IEEE VR 2025.

Four students from our lab got their degree. Jihye Shin and Junsu Cho received master degree in CNU. Gayun Suh graduated bachelor's course, received bachelor's degree, and started master course in CNU. Chaeeun Lee graduated bachelor's course in CNU.
