Over the last five years, I have taught PhD, Masters and Undergraduate students. I have taught a range of courses in the areas of Urban Studies, Development Economics and Statistics.
This course aims to discuss and critique the contemporary discourses related to cities in India and analyse the critical issues affecting/shaping Indian cities in the 21st century. We also examine the changing trajectories of urban local governance and situating the role of citizens in local democracy to achieve the agenda of sustainable cities.
This course aims to discuss the importance of the Census and different large-scale datasets in India in policy design, implementation and assessment of policy outcomes. The objective of this course is to develop proficiency in using Census and unit-level datasets of Large-Scale Surveys for conducting independent policy research, which includes extraction, merging, weights, generating indicators, analysis, interpretation, and visualisation.
