Advocacy for Emerging Therapists
The Hub's current involvement in advocacy and support for emerging, marginalized therapists is two fold: supporting the LCAT and building pathways for emerging pre-licensed clinicians. We are in the process of establishing a not-for-profit organization to help recent graduates start their own community-centered private practice/clinic businesses.
Unlike typical practices that take a large portion of new therapists' earnings, our model reserves 15-20% to cover basic expenses and supervision. We are creating a learning/working clinic that operates on this model, providing a supportive environment for marginalized therapists.
We aims to include a registered expressive arts therapist in the future to expand our supervision and training offerings.
