The Arts in Black Festival is a celebration of African American Heritage and Art and was first held in February 1986 on the J.T. Reddick Middle School Campus. The Festival offers area residents of different cultural backgrounds the opportunity to experience African American culture and traditions through exciting performances, exhibits, workshops, and foods. The Arts in Black Festival is one of Tifton’s signature cultural events, celebrating African American heritage through art, music, dance, poetry, and community activities. It’s the longest‑running festival held in Fulwood Park, drawing thousands of visitors each year.
